Delete it from the app
- Open Bexhearts and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. If you signed up with an email address and password, you will be asked to re-enter your password first.
Or ask us to do it
If you cannot get into the app — you have lost your device, or you can no longer sign in — email support@bexhearts.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Bexhearts account”. We will verify it is you and delete the account on the same terms below.
You have 7 days to change your mind
Deleting starts a 7-day grace period. During those 7 days nothing is erased, and signing back in cancels the deletion and restores your account exactly as it was. Once the 7 days pass, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email address, photo, and tradition.
- Everything you wrote: your prayers, journal entries, check-ins, boundaries and temptation plans, reflections, and notes.
- Photos you uploaded to your journal or profile.
- Any AI-composed prayers saved on your prayers.
- Your points and activity history.
- Your sign-in credentials, and the link to Apple or Google if you used one.
What your partner keeps
Bexhearts is built for two people, so deleting your account is deliberately not destructive to your partner. If you are linked as a couple:
- Your partner keeps their own account and everything they wrote.
- They keep the couple space, its history, and their streak.
- Content you authored is removed along with your account.
- The couple record is only removed once its last member has gone.
Want a copy first? Before you delete, you can export your journal as a PDF from Profile → Export your journal. Once deletion completes, that content is gone and we cannot recover it.
What we keep, and for how long
- Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted backups until those rotate out on their normal schedule, after which it is gone.
- Anonymised aggregates. Counts that are not linked to you or to any individual may be retained.
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as transaction records for tax purposes.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Billing runs through Google Play or the Apple App Store, so cancel it there — in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, or in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
More detail on what we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Questions about any of this: support@bexhearts.com.
